EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Mike Waid is a community-oriented nonprofit executive with over 30 years’ experience and deep expertise in organizational leadership, government, and entrepreneurship.
As a serial entrepreneur, Mike has owned a variety of successful businesses including a marketing & advertising agency, community magazine publishing company, and even a beard product company. Starting his first business when he was just 12 years old, he has not only grown his own enterprises but has helped countless other entrepreneurs bring their visions and ideas into reality.
Serving his community has been a cornerstone of Mike’s personal and professional life as well. From founding several nonprofit organizations to serving as a board member for many nonprofits to most recently serving as the Executive Director for the Douglas County Community Foundation, he embraces the importance of philanthropy in our communities.
Mike also enjoyed serving his community as Mayor of Parker, Colorado for two consecutive terms from 2012 to 2020 and as a Town Council member from 2008 to 2012. He worked diligently to be a conduit between citizens and their government.
In his personal life, Mike enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, cooking and spending time with his family. He describes himself as “a regular guy who has been blessed with an amazing life.”
