Café Momentum’s doors are reopening on September 24 with the launch of a new retail line.

Café Momentum is a nonprofit that teaches youth skills to those who have been released from juvenile detention facilities so they can be safe in the “real world.” Their premise is to eat, drink; but also change lives.

The retail line sparked from having honest conversations with their interns. The new line will explore themes such as Black love, Black resilience and Black freedom.

“We have continued to work together to support and coach our interns, and the development of the new product line is an extension of our collective dedication,” said Timmy Combs, general manager.

“This is another way we’ve evolved and sustained our culinary classroom during these unprecedented times, and we look forward to sharing it with the community.”
